Biratnagar Sets 145-Run Target for Lumbini

With aggressive batting from Basir Ahmad, the Biratnagar Kings have set a target of 145 runs for the Lumbini Lions in the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL).

The match is being played at the TU International #Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur. After losing the toss, Biratnagar batted first and scored 144 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.

For Biratnagar, Lokesh Bam, who came in at one-down, scored 35 runs off 42 balls. Basir Ahmad added 28 runs from 19 balls, hitting 1 four and 1 six.

Sam Hizzlett scored 27 runs off 20 balls. South African player Faf du Plessis, making his NPL debut as an opening batsman, scored 12 runs from 9 balls before getting out. Pratish GC contributed 11 runs.

For Lumbini Lions, Sher Malla took 3 wickets, giving away 24 runs in 4 overs. JJ Smit, Abhishek Gautam, and Ruben Trumpelmann took one wicket each.
