Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Subscription Campaign Launched in Nepal

The official subscription campaign for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which begins on Jestha 28 (June 11), has been formally launched in Nepal.

The campaign covers both television and OTT (Over-the-Top) digital platforms, allowing Nepali football fans to watch every match of the tournament through officially licensed broadcasters.

Spro Media, the official FIFA World Cup broadcasting rights holder for Nepal, announced the launch. The tournament will be broadcast exclusively on Himalaya Sports television channel, while digital streaming will be available through the DGO App.

Under FIFA’s exclusive broadcasting agreement for Nepal, foreign television channels and streaming services will not be permitted to air World Cup matches within the country. Fans who purchase the official package will be able to watch all 104 matches of the tournament in high quality.

Subscription Prices

  • TV Package: Rs 999 (including taxes)
  • Mobile-Only Package: Rs 549 (including taxes)
  • Mobile and Laptop Package: Rs 999 (including taxes)

How to Subscribe on Television

Viewers using cable, DTH or IPTV services can subscribe through two methods.

Via QR Code

  1. Turn on your television.
  2. Open the channel list and select Himalaya Sports HD under the sports category.
  3. A QR code will appear on the screen.
  4. Scan the QR code using a digital wallet and complete the payment.

  1. Open the eSewa or Khalti app.
  2. Select your TV service provider.
  3. Enter your User ID or Subscriber ID.

Officials have clarified that customers must have an active television subscription with their service provider. Purchasing the World Cup package alone will not activate the service if the regular TV subscription has expired.

Fans who prefer digital viewing can subscribe through the DGO app.

  1. Download and register on the DGO app, or access the package through eSewa or Khalti.
  2. Select the FIFA World Cup icon on the homepage.
  3. Choose one of the available packages:
    • Mobile Only: Rs 549
    • Mobile and Laptop: Rs 999

The subscription will be permanently linked to the mobile number and device used during the initial login and authentication process. Users will not be able to transfer the package to another mobile device after activation, and are advised to subscribe using their primary device.

All listed prices include applicable taxes.

Organisers said customers experiencing technical issues with television activation should contact their respective TV service providers, while users facing problems with digital streaming can reach out to DGO’s customer support service.

With the tournament set to begin on Jestha 28 (June 11), football fans across Nepal can now officially subscribe to watch all 104 matches of FIFA World Cup 2026 through the country’s authorised broadcast platforms.
