Karnali Yaks Choose to Field First Against Lumbini Lions

The Karnali Yaks have decided to field first in Saturday’s Nepal Premier League (NPL) match. Karnali’s captain, Sompal Kami, won the toss at the TU International Cricket Stadium and invited the Lumbini Lions to bat.

Karnali has made two changes to their lineup. Bipin Sharma has replaced Yunis Bikram Singh, and William Bosisto has taken the place of Max O’Dowd. The playing 11 includes Sompal Kami, Priyank Panchal, Pawan Sarraf, William Bosisto, Najibullah Zadran, Mark Watt, Gulshan Jha, Arjun Ghartimagar, Yuvraj Khatri, Nandan Yadav, and Bipin Sharma.

The Lumbini Lions have also made a change, bringing in Sumit Maharjan to replace Dinesh Adhikari. Led by captain Rohit Paudel, their team includes D’Arcy Short, Sandeep Jora, Sumit Maharjan, Dilip Nath, Gulbadin Naib, Samir Ali, Sher Malla, Abhishek Gautam, Ruben Trumpelmann, and JJ Smit.

This is the second match of the season for both teams. Lumbini won their first game against the Chitwan Rhinos by 6 wickets. However, Karnali lost their opening game to Chitwan by 4 wickets.

In the previous season, Karnali defeated Lumbini by 5 wickets. Lumbini had a difficult time last season, finishing in last place after losing 6 out of their 7 matches.
