Lumbini Lions Sign Namibian Fast Bowler Ruben Trumpelmann

The Lumbini Lions cricket team has signed Ruben Trumpelmann for the 2025 Nepal Premier League (NPL). Ruben is a fast bowler from Namibia who uses his left arm.

He is the fourth foreign player to join the Lions. The team has already signed:

• D’Arcy Short (from Australia)
• Thomas Draca (from Italy)
• Gulbadin Naib (from Afghanistan)

Why the Lions Signed Him

Lumbini Lions signed Ruben to make their bowling stronger.

He is 27 years old and has played many games for Namibia. He has taken 73 wickets in 49 one-day international (ODI) games and 49 wickets in 44 T20 international games.

His best T20 performance was at the 2024 World Cup, where he took 4 wickets for 21 runs against Oman.
