Man Killed by Ox in Phidim

A 69-year-old man, identified as Padam Bir Rai, a resident of Sano Bhalukhop, Phidim Municipality-14, has died after being attacked by an ox. The incident was confirmed by the District Police Office, Panchthar.

The fatal encounter occurred on Tuesday evening at approximately 5:00 PM. Rai was reportedly injured by an ox he owned while attempting to tether the animal in a shed.

Following the attack, the man fell approximately 150 meters down a slope. The District Police Office, Panchthar, stated that Rai succumbed to his injuries at the site of the incident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Anish Kumar Karna confirmed that preparations are underway to transport the body to the District Hospital for post-mortem examination.
