Iran has claimed that one person was killed at Kuwait’s international airport following a series of drone and missile attacks, according to international media reports.

On Tuesday, Iran reportedly launched coordinated strikes targeting both Kuwait and Bahrain using drones and missiles, escalating tensions in the Gulf region.

Significant damage was reported at one of the terminals of Kuwait International Airport during the attacks. Kuwaiti authorities confirmed that one person was killed and dozens of others were injured in the incident.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) described the strikes as a “lesson” for the United States, according to statements carried by Iranian media.

In response, the US Central Command said it carried out retaliatory action in self-defence, targeting Iran’s Qeshm Island and claiming to have intercepted and neutralised several incoming missiles and drones.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump rejected reports suggesting that diplomatic talks aimed at preventing further escalation between Iran and the United States had broken down. He stated that communication between the two sides is still ongoing.
