Two Killed in Hiace–Motorcycle accident in Kailali

Two people have died following a collision between a Hiace van and a motorcycle in Kailali district.

According to police, the accident occurred at around 6:15 PM on Tuesday at Gulara in Lamkichuha Municipality-7 along the East-West Highway. The vehicles involved were a Hiace van (registration number Sup Pra 01001 Ja 1421) and a motorcycle (registration number Sup Pra 01013 Pa 5439).

Police identified the deceased as 33-year-old Gagan Rana and 24-year-old Pushpa Sunar, both residents of Lamkichuha Municipality-8. They were traveling on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.

DSP Yogendra Timilsina, spokesperson for the District Police Office, said both victims were critically injured and rushed to Bardagoriya Hospital for treatment, where doctors later declared them dead.

Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
