Police have arrested a man in Gorkha on charges of killing his wife.

According to police, Shankar Sunar of Bogatigaun, Palungtar Municipality–3, was arrested on Thursday for allegedly killing his 21-year-old wife, Anushka Pariyar.

Police reached the scene after receiving information that Anushka had been seriously injured following an assault by her husband. She was rushed to Aampipal Hospital in Harmi, where she died during treatment.

Police said Anushka sustained critical injuries due to the beating. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
