Wife Beaten to Death by Husband in Palungtar, Gorkha

Anushka Pariyar, 21, from Bogatigau, Palungtar Municipality–3, has died following a violent assault by her husband. On Thursday, her husband, Shankar Sunar, reportedly beat her, leaving her unconscious.

Police from Thantipokhari Area Police Office immediately took Anushka to Ampipal Hospital for treatment. However, she succumbed to her injuries while receiving medical care, confirmed SP Bharat Bik, Chief of Gorkha District Police.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the assault was the result of a family dispute. Anushka’s body has been taken to Gorkha Hospital for a postmortem examination.
