Argentina Double Their Lead Against Jordan with Martínez Penalty

Argentina have doubled their advantage against Jordan in their ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026 match, taking a commanding 2-0 lead.

The South American side were awarded a penalty after a Jordan defender committed a foul inside the penalty area. Following a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review, the referee pointed to the spot.

Striker Lautaro Martínez calmly converted the penalty in the 31st minute to extend Argentina’s lead.

Argentina had opened the scoring in the 19th minute when Giovani Lo Celso curled a superb free kick into the net.

With two first-half goals, Argentina now hold a comfortable 2-0 advantage over Jordan as the match continues.
