10-Year-Old Boy Dies After Drowning in Kandra River in Kailali

A 10-year-old boy has died after drowning in the Kandra River in Kailali district, police said.

The incident occurred in Ambasa of Ghodaghodi Municipality-11, where Krishna Rawal, the son of local resident Ram Bahadur Rawal, drowned while swimming in the river on Saturday afternoon.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yogendra Timilsina, spokesperson for the Kailali District Police Office, the boy was rescued from the river and rushed to CS Hospital in Sukhad for treatment. However, doctors pronounced him dead during treatment.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
