14-Year-Old Dies in Kaligandaki Drowning

One person has died and another has gone missing while swimming in the Kaligandaki River in Palpa district.

According to police, 14-year-old Shishir Gaha of Shikhardanda died after drowning while swimming in the Kaligandaki River at Mandrang, Ward No. 6 of Bagnaskali Rural Municipality.

Another swimmer, 24-year-old Pujan Gaha, has been reported missing in the incident, the District Police Office, Palpa, said.

A search operation is currently underway, with local residents and a police team deployed from Ramdi Police Post continuing efforts to locate the missing man.
