Colombia Top Group K After Holding Portugal to Goalless Draw

Colombia secured top spot in Group K of the FIFA World Cup 2026 after playing out a goalless draw against Portugal on Sunday morning at Miami Stadium.

Despite controlling more than 50 percent of possession, Colombia were unable to find the breakthrough during the match. They thought they had scored deep into second-half stoppage time, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

The draw was enough for Colombia to finish at the top of the group with seven points from three matches. Portugal ended the group stage as runners-up with five points, while DR Congo claimed third place with four points. Uzbekistan finished bottom of the group without earning a single point.

Colombia, Portugal, and DR Congo have all progressed to the knockout stage.

In the Round of 32, Colombia will face Ghana, while Portugal are set to take on Croatia. DR Congo’s knockout-stage opponent has yet to be determined.
