Messi Scores His Sixth Goal of the Current World Cup

Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has scored a goal in the FIFA World Cup 2026 match against Jordan after coming onto the field in the 60th minute.

Messi scored from a free-kick in the 80th minute of the match. The referee awarded the free-kick after Jordan’s Amir Jamos fouled Messi just outside the penalty box. Messi then fired a long-range shot that found the back of the net.

This marks Messi’s sixth goal of the ongoing World Cup. Previously, he scored a hat-trick against Algeria and two goals in the match against Austria.

With this goal, Argentina is currently leading the match 3–1.
