Indian Man Arrested With Pistol in Mahottari

Armed Police have arrested an Indian citizen with a homemade pistol in Halkhori, Mahottari.

According to Armed Police Superintendent Sher Bahadur Adhikari, the man was arrested with the weapon during a security check at Halkhori Chowk in Ekdara Rural Municipality–4.

The arrested person is 26-year-old Saroj Kumar Kurmi from Patdaura Gram Panchayat, Sita Madhai, Bihar. Police stopped the Honda Shine motorcycle he was riding and, during inspection, found one homemade pistol and one bullet hidden under the seat.

The Indian citizen has been handed over to the Mahottari District Police Office for further investigation.
