Two Arrested for Attacking Police During Gen Z Protest

Two people have been arrested for allegedly beating police officers and stealing property during the Genji movement protests.

The arrested individuals are 41-year-old Niraj Chitrakar from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-20, Chikamugal, and 40-year-old Rajkumar Kshetri from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10.

Police say that during the protest on Bhadra 24, they attacked police officers who were deployed at Bishal Bazaar in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-24.

Both were arrested on Tuesday from Kasthamandap Marutol in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-20 and have been sent to the District Police Office in Bhadra Kali for further action.

According to police, Niraj Chitrakar had previously faced charges at the Janasewa Police Circle in a case related to attempted murder.
