Missing Salyan Man Found Dead After 1.5 Months

The skeleton of 36-year-old Tek Bahadur Oli from Panikhana, Baganchaur Municipality–4, Salyan, has been found one and a half months after he went missing.

Wali had left home on Kartik 14 to visit a fair in Tribeni, Darma Rural Municipality–5, Salyan. According to Ward Chairperson Krishna Bahadur Basnet, his skeleton was discovered in a forest near Jhanda Hanne, on the border of Salyan and Rukum, in Tribeni Rural Municipality–3, Rukum.

His clothes, scarf, and papers found inside his purse helped confirm that the remains belonged to Wali, who had been missing for 45 days.

According to Basnet, the skeleton has now been taken to Rukum West District Hospital for post-mortem. Police and family members had been searching for Oli since the day he went missing. Locals informed authorities after spotting a body in the forest above Bafukhola in Baganchaur–12. During the search, they confirmed the skeleton was Oli’s.
