Vandalism at Kist Medical College After Pregnant Woman’s Death

Three days ago, a 25-year-old woman, Minashree Rai, died at Kist Medical College and Teaching Hospital after giving birth due to heavy bleeding, according to Lalitpur District Police.

Her family and relatives blamed the hospital’s negligence for her death and protested today as well. A large number of security personnel have been deployed at the hospital to maintain order.

After Rai’s death, her relatives threw stones and damaged hospital property, accusing the staff of carelessness. Police increased their presence to prevent further clashes.

The hospital is currently surrounded by police. During the protest, there was a clash between demonstrators and police, and tear gas was used to control the situation.
