Man Arrested for Setting Vehicle on Fire in Pokhara

Police have arrested a man accused of setting fire to a parked vehicle in Pokhara.

The incident occurred at Adarsha Chowk in Ward 29, where a vehicle parked inside Jayaram Baba Bishwakarma Suppliers was set on fire at around 1:00 am on April 2. The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Bisan Sunar, a resident of Pataneri in the same ward.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police and Information Officer Hari Bahadur Basnet, Sunar was arrested at around 10:00 pm the same day while hiding in a forest area near Chandraghat in Rithepani.

Police said Sunar has been remanded in custody for five days by the Kaski District Court under charges related to criminal mischief, and further investigation is ongoing.
