Three Killed in Jeetpursimara Motorcycle-Pedestrian accident

Three people were killed in a road accident in Chhatapipara, Ward No. 9 of Jeetpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City in Bara district, after a motorcycle struck pedestrians.

According to police, a motorcycle (Ba 68 Pa 7591) heading from Jeetpur towards Birgunj hit pedestrians who were crossing the road at Chhatapipara Chowk.

The crash resulted in the deaths of three people at the scene two young men riding the motorcycle and one pedestrian said Deputy Superintendent of Police Min Bahadur Ghale of the District Police Office, Bara.

Two of the deceased have been identified. They are 20-year-old Sabya Adhikari, originally from Pathlaiya in Jeetpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City–1 and currently residing in Kathmandu, and 20-year-old Digen Joshi from Tokha Municipality in Kathmandu.

The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been confirmed.

Police said all the injured were rushed to hospital after the incident, but doctors declared them dead upon arrival.
