Man Arrested for Killing After Fatal Dispute in Bajura

A 32-year-old man has been killed following an alleged dispute in Bajura district, with police arresting a suspect shortly after the incident.

The victim, Nir Rawat, was killed on Wednesday night in Kotila, Ward No. 6 of Budhinanda Municipality, according to local authorities.

Police said the death occurred during a personal dispute. A 19-year-old man, Tekendra Rawat, has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the killing.

Naresh Bahadur Shahi, an inspector at the District Police Office in Bajura, said officers from the Budhinanda Area Police Office detained the suspect on the same night as the incident.

A police team led by Inspector Shahi has been dispatched to the scene as part of the investigation.

Preliminary findings suggest that Tekendra Rawat allegedly struck Nir Rawat with a stone during the altercation, causing fatal injuries, police said.

Authorities said further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
