Court Orders Birgunj Mayor Rajesh Man Singh to Post Bail

The Parsa District Court has ordered Birgunj Metropolitan City Mayor Rajesh Man Singh to furnish bail in connection with two criminal cases filed against him.

The order was issued by a single bench of District Judge Gayatri Prasad Regmi during a hearing on the case, according to Court Officer Devaraj Bhattarai.

Bhattarai said the court has demanded a bail amount of Rs 400,000 in a document forgery case and an additional Rs 15,000 in a separate case related to the submission of false information.

Singh had been facing legal proceedings over allegations of document falsification and providing inaccurate details in official records. Following the hearing, the court decided to release him on bail pending further judicial proceedings.

The cases against the mayor remain under judicial review, and further hearings will be held as the legal process continues.
