One Killed, Three Injured in City Auto Accident in Kanepokhari

One person was killed and three others were injured after a city auto-rickshaw lost control and crashed in Morang district on Saturday, according to police.

The accident occurred on the road at Kanepokhari in Letang Municipality-5 when an unregistered city auto traveling from Kanepokhari toward Letang went out of control at around 11:55 a.m.

Police said four people were on board the vehicle, and all of them sustained injuries in the crash.

A rescue team from the Area Police Office, Letang, immediately reached the scene and transported the injured to Apex Hospital in Letang for treatment.

Among the injured, 60-year-old Munraj Lawati of Letang Municipality-6 succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital, police confirmed.

The injured include the driver, 40-year-old Bir Bahadur Rai of Letang Municipality-6, 27-year-old Shanti Rai of the same municipality, and 50-year-old Anu Rai of Letang Municipality-5.

According to police, all three injured victims are receiving treatment at Apex Hospital in Letang.
