Woman Stabbed to Death in Pokhara’s Sabha Griha Chowk

A woman was fatally attacked with a sharp weapon on Wednesday evening at Sabha Griha Chowk in Pokhara. Eyewitnesses reported that an unknown young man struck the woman from behind while she was standing by the roadside around 7 p.m.

The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Sirjana Paudel Kshetri, a resident of Malepatan, Pokhara-5, police said. She was standing on the right side of the road leading from Sabha Griha Chowk to Shivalaya Chowk when the attack occurred. Following the assault, she collapsed, screaming, and was rushed to Gandaki Medical College, where doctors declared her dead.

Police said the attacker fled the scene on a motorcycle. DSP Haribahadur Basnet, spokesperson for Kaski District Police Office, stated that efforts to locate the suspect are underway, and further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
